The Ultimate Cubing Youtuber Tier List

We all love to watch our favorite cubers on YouTube. Whether it’s unboxings, fast solves, or other cubing-related videos, the YouCubing community has something for everyone. But what’s the best cubing channel? Well, in this article I’m going to rank my top 10 favorite channels and tell you which ones you should check out and which ones you maybe shouldn’t…

Criteria

The channels will be ranked based on the following criteria: subscribers, posting frequency, content diversity, and how entertaining they are. Even if a channel is very entertaining and has a lot of diversity, it may be ranked lower if they aren’t active or have stopped posting new videos. With that taken into account, let’s get into the rankings.

The Channels

Here are all the major cubing channels. Keep in mind that not all will be mentioned in this article:

  • Jperm
  • Cubehead
  • Speedcubeshop
  • TheCubicle
  • Tingman
  • Scooch Cubing
  • Luke Garret
  • LaZer0MonKey
  • Cube Master
  • SpeedcubeDB

Best Channel to Improve at Speedcubing

If getting faster is your goal, then these channels won’t let you down. While the content may not be as entertaining as some of the other channels on this list, the videos are packed with information that is guaranteed to make you a better cuber.

Top pick: Jperm

The Jperm channel was started with the goal of making helpful tutorials for Cubers and is one of the most effective channels for just that. It also has a lot of other cubing-related content and is one of the most subscribed cubing channels.

Runner up: SpeedcubeDB

SpeedcubeDB is an algorithm and reconstruction-based Youtube channel and website where you can find a number of helpful algs and info about top cubers and how they improve. There are reconstructions, alg sets, and interviews/podcasts with top cubers like Tymon, Feliks, and Patrick Ponce.

Most Entertaining Cubing Content

While speedcubing tutorials and reviews are great, some channels stand out for their creativity and uniqueness. These creators bring fresh perspectives and exciting content to the cubing community, making them a must-watch.

Top pick: Cubehead

The Cubehead channel takes the top spot in this category for his innovative approach to YouCubing. From huge unboxings to hilarious cubing skits, Cubehead’s channel is a treasure trove of creativity. His unique content sets them apart as a go-to channel for those seeking fresh cubing entertainment.

Runner up: LaZer0MonKey

LaZer0MonKey is the creator of a youtube series called Monkey League which features top cubers from around the world like Tymon Kolasinski, Luke Garret, Matty Hiroto-Inaba, and even Yiheng Wang. The series is a series of best of 3 sets of best of 5 in which competitors from all over the world compete against each other. The series happens once a year and runs for multiple months with a quarter and semi-final, along with a championship. It’s truly one of the best cubing spectator events out there.

Runner up #2: Tingman

Tingman creates many cubing videos mostly about competitions and his cubing adventures with his son and daughter. His content is very wholesome and fun to watch. If you’re looking for a light-hearted cubing video, this is the channel for you.

Best Small Cubing Channel

This category is to support the less recognized cubing Youtubers because though they may not have as many subscribers as some of the other creators on this list, their content really speaks for itself.

Top pick: Scooch Cubing

Scooch is the main pick for the small YouTuber category because his competition vlogs are not only interesting to watch but often include unique twists and unexpected events that are hilarious to watch. He is also the Irish record holder for 2×2 which makes his comp results even more exciting.

Runner up: Cube Master

Cube Master’s YouTube channel is all about cube unboxings/reviews and analysis and predictions of rankings and competition results. He also uses his computer literacy to create games and models that can (accurately) predict future world records which is really unique and entertaining. He also has a lot of sq-1 content since he is the US National Champion.
